Our Story
Christopher and Genevieve first met in 2016 at the Carleton Improv Association, and connected over their shared love of Dungeons & Dragons and History.
After reconnecting in 2023 (where Christopher romanced Genevieve by talking about the Grand Antique Fireplaces on Centre Block) they soon entered a whirlwind long-distance romance while Genevieve completed a year travelling through Scotland. Despite the difficulties that 3,000 miles and a five hour time difference brought, their love only grew. They started their lives properly when Genevieve moved back to Ottawa in October 2024, with the couple becoming engaged in July 2025 and purchasing their home in March 2026.
They look forward to seeing you on October 31st to celebrate their love and commitment to each other, and the life they've built together.

Doors Open at the Canadian Museum of Nature. Ushers will be present to help guide you to the lantern

Cocktail Hour in the Water Gallery, featuring a complementary glass of prosecco (or non-alcoholic alternative) and the Museum of Nature's Touch Tank

Reception Begins in the Salon

Dance floor Opens!

Dance floor closes, space is cleaned, and the wedding is over
Dress Code
Please dress comfortably, keeping in mind the variable weather that Ottawa can have at the end of October. Please do not wear white for obvious reasons.
Costumes
While we are getting married on Halloween we are not having a Halloween-themed wedding. Please do not come in costume or you will be asked to leave and change.
Gifts
Your presence is the only gift we ask for. Contributions to the H0neymoon/Home Reno fund are appreciated for those who wish to give something.
Plus-Ones
Due to limited space at the venue we cannot accommodate plus-ones that we have not directly invited. Please do not bring an uninvited date to the wedding.
Ceremony Photography
Please keep phones stored during the ceremony - we are paying a Photographer and have two video cameras running to capture the ceremony so all you need to do is to be in the moment with us.
